Speed up my blog

Today, I spent about two hours to customize the theme of my blog.

As you probably know, my blog was originally using a simple theme called “Klise,” but the repository for this theme hasn’t been updated in a while.

So, I decided to create a new theme for my blog, which I’ve named “Simpure“ to convey a sense of simplicity and purity.

The first thing I did was change the year displayed in the footer.

Then, I used <%- markdown (config.foot) %> to add some additional items.

I also removed some code related to commits, which my blog didn’t need.

Additionally, I updated some of the older code to make it compatible with modern browsers.

As a result of these changes, my site received full marks in Pagespeed Insights.
